Souq Waqif

This is our son’s favorite place on the weekend because he can see so many pets here. Souq Waqif is a traditional market where can give you an experience of a well-maintain 8th-century marketplace. The souq offers small shops lined along these paths selling the Middle Eastern merchandise such as jewellery, spices, antiques, clothing, and handicraft. I think this is the best place for you to buy the souvenirs because you have a lot of choices and the price is lower than the other places. There are many restaurants here and you can have your dinner while enjoying the performance from local.

Desert Safari

Last three month, my husband’s officemate held the trip to Al Masaeeid and we experience the adventurous activities and having a picnic. The activities you can do here is riding ATV and drive 4×4 over the amazing sand dunes and visit the beautiful inland sea: a huge salt-water inlet jutting into dessert and surrounded by kilometers of sand dunes.Don’t forget to take a chance riding camel in the heart of sand dune.

The Pearl Qatar

The first time we came to the pearl Qatar, I said Wow this is so amazing and very luxurious place. You are surrounded by residential towers, hotels, and villas, luxury shopping at top brand name boutiques and showrooms. You will feel amaze with their lifestyle. You also can see the yatch-lined marinas at the area of Pearl Qatar.

Shopping Mall

Are you ready to shopping guys? In Qatar, there are so many shopping mall and you can choose which shopping mall is your choice according to their speciality. Don’t miss to go shopping to Mall of Qatar(the largest mall in Qatar) which have 500 shops. But beware, it might tempt you to empty your pocket. If you want to experience luxury and open air shopping mall, you can come to Al Hazm Mall.

Buy Abaya and Shayla

I think this is you must do when you visit to Qatar because middle east countries are famous with their abaya style. Mostly abaya is in black colour. Even you are non-muslim but you can still buy this abaya and shawl because you will looks so cool with this elegant wear. You can buy abaya and shayla at Souq Asiri which is situated nearby Souq Waqif just walking distance.

Dhow Cruise at Corniche

Qatar is located at Persian Gulf. So, dhow cruising is famous activity in Qatar. A dhow was originally a traditional wooden sailing boat, used by merchants. But now, it includes latest amenities for tourist to make their journey more comfortable. You can take this dhow cruising activity in Corniche Bay. They will offer you lunch and dinner package and you also can experience spectacular views of the skyline of doha.

Museum Islamic Art

This is the one of place you must come when you travel to Qatar. MIA is not far from Sou Waqif and you can walk to go this Museum. You can see a uniquely modern design involving geometric pattern and ancient islamic achitechture. Don’t miss to enjoy the wonderful park near by Museum Islamic Art.

Eat Arabic Food

This is the best thing ever if you are food hunting because you can eat big portion by paying for one person. Don’t forget to try their main dishes which is Briyani and mandy. Souq Wakrah

Souq Wakrah is new place to hangout for tourist, expat and local. Commonly is known as second Souq Waqif. You can go Souq Wakrah after finishing your activity at Desert Safari because it is situated 15 minutes from Sealine Beach. This place also known as family beach where you can see many families will hangout here and do picnic on weekend.
